In an effort to get users into the WP2 System seamlessly, an authentication section has been added to the Admin Portal to allow Admins to add "DoD ID" to a user's profile as a unique identifier. The DoD ID can be used as an alternative to a .mil email to link an individual to the correct user identity when authenticating via CAC or MobileConnect.
Admin Portal
Navigate to "Users" under the Security dropdown on the left-hand side pane. Once there, select "+New Athlete" from the top-right corner.

When creating a new user, fill out the following sections: General, Organization, & Account. Ideally, the .mil email address associated with the User's CAC should be added. However, if the .mil email address is not known, please use a placeholder email in the recommended format: firstname.lastname@installcode.auth.wp2.us.
Do NOT user the user's personal email address.
- At the bottom of the page, you will see an Authentication section with the following options:
Add Authenticator Method
- Select "DoD ID Number" from the "Authenticator Method" dropdown. Once selected, add the user's 'DoD ID Number' in the "Authenticator Identifier" field. Once everything has been filled in, select 'Save'.
Logging Into the WP2 Platform
Now that the "Authenticator Method" has been added to the user's profile, the user can move forward with logging into the WP2 Platform. Even if the user's email was input incorrectly or is not valid, as long as the 'DoD ID Number' entered for the user matches what is on the user's CAC, the user will be able to login successfully.
